When you go to a bathroom store these days you see nothing but white bathroom suites from wall to wall. It’s a very good thing that the avocado or dark brown bath tub of the seventies is no more but it does mean however that you have to find another way to add color to your bathroom. If you do that with accessories rather than with tiles you can easily change your bathroom color scheme from one year to the next when you feel like a change.

You will find that bathroom accessories have become much more sophisticated in recent years and you can get buy a bathroom set in all kinds of colors and designs. Although you can buy them in white to match your bathroom, they are a great way of getting a color scheme going in an all-white or white plus neutral bathroom.

Just imagine a bathroom set decorated in pink rosebuds with a white background, for example. It may not seem to offer much in the way of color. After all, the predominant color is white but you can easily pick up the pink color and use it to purchase matching towels and bath rug. And then you can use the color of the leaves too and buy a few soft green towels and store alternate pink and green towels in a white wicker basket for a charming effect.

If you want something brighter however, buy a brightly colored bathroom accessory set. You will find them in red, green, every shade of the rainbow in fact and with various themes such as cartoon characters for kid bathrooms and frogs or ducks for those who like a fun theme.

If you want a sophisticated look, seek out bathroom sets in plain materials such as hardwood, stainless steel or chrome or just go for white ceramics with a simple motif in silver and gold colored paint.

Once you have chosen a color with your bathroom set, add other accessories to match similar to the rosebud example.
