We buy our ATV’s for two reasons; to ride them and to work them, and, we ride and work them hard.  Most of us expect our ATV’s to get us into and out of any situation we put them in.  We expect them to get dirty, to take our abuse and, to tow and haul what ever we need them to.  And, let’s face it; they do an amazing job at meeting our expectations.

But, we always want to make them just a little bit stronger and tougher.  We are always looking for that next thing that will give our ATV’s that much more POWER!  This brings us to ATV tire chains.  Sometimes overlooked on how much stronger these can make our ATV’s, we will discuss what and when you need these and how much added performance you can get and expect out of these.

Many of us think that these are used just for the ice in snow.  So if you live in warmer climates then they are seldom even seen. Those that live in areas with harsh winters can appreciated what ATV tire chains can do for you.

In heavy snow and ice, chains on your ATV are almost a necessity.  The amount of traction and added performance they give us completely changes the dynamic of using an ATV in these conditions.  Cold rubber tires on ice do not work too well.  But, with tire chains you almost feel like your ATV can take on anything.  That’s exactly what we are looking for.  What many do know or even consider is that the added performance on dirt and mud can and will blow your mind.  This makes are traction and control go out the roof.  Especially, when we are riding on loose dirt, creek and trail riding.

There are many different types of ATV tire chains and of course you will want to match up your ATV and chains with the terrain you will be riding on.  I recommend speaking with someone that has used ATV tire chains before in the terrain you will be riding on.  Remember, the goal is maximum performance….let’s make it happen.
