Bar Drink Dispensers – The Most Cost Effective Way for Soda Drinks in a Bar
Bar drink dispensers are those handheld nozzles with a faceplate of buttons that you would typically see behind bars next to the beer taps. The bartender will be able to choose between what drinks are poured from the nozzle by pressing a button on the front – each button selects a different juice or soda. So how do these items work? There are 3 components to the main machinery – the carbonator, the flavored bag of syrup, and the pump system that pumps the soda mixture up towards the bar.
Down in the beer cellar of a bar, the mixture system is stored far away from the main bar area, but all the kegs and taps are situated here, in an area that is kept cool through the use of an air conditioner. This system is normally maintained by a third party company instead of the owners of the bar themselves. In much the same way as water dispenser coolers, since there is a lot that can go wrong it over the course of even a few months.
The main part of a soda dispenser system is the carbonator, which uses CO2 to make the soda fizz. The syrup, which is normally bought in a bag in the box standard, is also connected to the mixing system as well as water. The electronics in the drink dispenser nozzle triggers the pump and the carbonator, which in turn delivers fizzy soda to a customer’s drink.
Buying bag in the box syrup containers works out a lot cheaper than buying in bottles of soda- in fact the syrup mixture is diluted down when passing through the mixing system so that only one part of syrup is needed for every 5 parts water. So you can easily see why bar owners prefer to buy in drinks this way – it saves them a lot of money!
