When caring for your modern rug there are a few things to keep in mind. The only thing that you need to consider when purchasing a modern rug is what to do with the modern rug once you get home.

When purchasing large modern rugs you will need to consider how you are going to care for the rug when it gets dirty. Small modern rugs can be placed in the washer when caring for them. The small rug can be placed in the washer with a small amount of detergent and can be washed and rinsed however, you should not place the rug into the dryer. The backing on the small modern rug is typically a glue that holds the modern rug together and therefore should not be dried in the dryer.

When caring for a large modern area rug, you can remove the dirt from the rug with a carpet cleaner. The modern rug can be placed in a open area where you will be able to go over the modern rug with the carpet cleaner which will contain a cleaning agent that will remove such things as dirt, mold, mildew and pet dander. Along with the pet dander you can count on the animal smell being removed as well. The pet odor seems to be one of the most popular problems with having pets. Pets do not leave an odor behind them because they are filthy animals but rather because of the area that they are in.

Typically a dog will be outside and will roll around in the mud while playing and enjoying outside and will then come inside and lay down to rest on your modern rug. This is how pet odors will transfer to your rugs in which is why they should be cleaned often. You will place the rug into a open spot which is large enough for you to go over the rug while leaving it enough room to dry efficiently.

You can also care for your rug with the sprays that are sold in stores which allows for the rug to be sprayed with a chemical that will remove the dirt from the rug which you will go over with a vacuum to suck the dirt up out of. The rug can then be placed back into the area in which you normally have the rug in. You will not have to wait for the modern rug to dry with this technique of removing dirt and odors from the rug.
