How To Prevent Threats From Crashing Your Computer
Everyone needs help when using the computer, but more so when protecting the computer. This is because the internet is a free space which harbors a lot of threats to your computer. For example, if a virus enters your computer, it can move around freely – just like a free pass. Then, as it goes around, it can destroy files, mess up programs, and cause your computer to slow down before it eventually crashes and dies. Of course, you can fix it or have it fixed but it’s going to cost you.
In other words, preventive maintenance is what you need. You don’t even have to spend a dollar, if you don’t want because there are free security software that you can download. Of course, it won’t be as effective as a paid security software, but if you get a reputable free download, you will be able to protect your computer to some extent.
What you need to get are the following: antivirus, antispyware, firewall, pop up blockers, and email phishing. The antivirus keeps all sorts of virus away. The antispyware will protect your computer from virus and spyware. Bear in mind that the antispyware is not as effective as an antivirus, so you will still need to get both programs.
A firewall, on the other hand, is a pc security software that works on preventing malware from even entering your computer system. It is the first security option any kind of malware will encounter. This is why a solid firewall is very important. It’s like having a solid wood front doors against no door, or a screen door.
Email phishing will protect you from malicious email and email attachments. Often, we are not as careful about opening emails because they have interesting or intriguing message title. The second the unknown email is opened, the malware, virus, or spyware speeds into your computer.
Pop up blockers keeps malicious and infected pop up ads from disturbing you as you use the computer.
