If you have a child aged between 4 and 8 years old the chances are they will be a Ben 10 fan. As such when their birthday comes along, you may want to surprise them with a Ben 10 themed party. Here are a few pointers to help you achieve this spectacle without it costing you a lot in terms of time or money.

Invitations
You can of course buy these at various online retailers but why not make some yourself. Just copy and paste one of the many Ben 10 images from the internet into a word processing or paint package, add some text about when and where etc and you’re done.

Birthday  Cake
Ben 10 is so popular these days that your local supermarket probably stocks a ready made Ben 10 cake. If not, just take an image to your local bakery and they will be happy to custom make one for you. To cut down the cost though, why not bake a basic cake yourself. If you are good at cake decorating there are various online versions that you could copy for inspiration. If you are not, there are cake toppers on hand to save the day. Just add your child’s name and age with an icing pen and it will look too good to cut.

Decorations
To get your house ready for the little guests, you may want to do a bit of party decorating. The colors associated with Ben 10 are primarily yellow and green, with some black and white thrown in. So get yourself some balloons and paper decorations in these colors and you’re away.

Activities
Any Ben 10 games should revolve around either the aliens or the Omnitrix. You could set up targets of the aliens or the baddies and get some toy guns that shoot foam discs. Get the images from the internet and draw target rings on them. Award points and prizes to the best shot. Other games you could play with alien images include ‘pin the tail on…’ but instead of using a donkey picture, use one of the aliens such as XLR8 or Humungousaur. Or for a more craft based game take some biscuits and let the kids decorate them as a Ben 10 Omnitrix with colored icing pens. You can also go more traditional with musical chairs or statues whilst playing the Ben 10 theme song for the music. There are a number of cheap Ben 10 toys you can find to use as prizes.

Luckily it is only once a year so give your kids birthday party some thought and treat them to a day they won’t forget.
