With an iPhone or iPod, you must first upload your photos to your computer and then sync them across to your device in order to view them. With the iPad however, Apple breaks new ground with the camera connection kit that allows you to connect your camera or camcorder directly to your device. This makes it very easy to manage your collection, especially while you are on the go. You can connect your camera directly or use the SD card adapter.

In addition to these ipad camera accessories, the software on the iPad is great for viewing, organising and manipulating photos. However, it is with the innovative photo applications that you can download from the app store, that all the real fun happens. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of photo apps now available that allow you to do all kinds of things with your photos. You can edit them, share them, merge them, tweak them and shape them to your hearts content. And with the iPad camera connection kit you can do this within seconds of taking the photo, with no need to sync it up to a computer first.

The iPad doesn’t currently feature it’s own camera, and in fact this is one of the major criticisms of the first generation iPad. It’s sure to be a new feature on future versions of the iPad, but for now the ipad accessory review people are finding more and more camera accessories to look at, but it is the camera connection kit from Apple that is getting all the focus at the moment. Especially as some people have found ways to use it as a method of connecting up other devices to the iPad.
