One of the most popular genres of video games is the RPG or role playing game genre. RPG games allow the players to assume the role of the character, acting in a fictional setting. There can be several participants in a single game or several roles a player can assume throughout the whole game.

The ultimate role playing game is undoubtedly the Sims. It was introduced nearly a decade ago but has since then spawned many sequels, such as Sims 2 and Sims 3, as well as many expansion packs, such as Livin Large, Hot Date, Seasons, Open for Business and Pets. The Sims video games are quite broad in scope, so you can do absolutely anything you want with it. The Sims allows you to create and control one Sim or a whole Sims family. You get to create, design and renovate their Sims home. You also get to dictate their lives—whether you will make their life perfect or turn it into a living hell. You get to choose their jobs, personalities, appearance, and more. Your character can interact, socialize and even fall in love with fellow Sims and NPCs in the neighborhood!

To increase your Simeolons, (the monetary currency in the Sims game) one will have to take a job or make friends with a rich Sim. The Sims 3 is the latest among the Sims video games, with plenty of added benefits. Compared to Sims 1 and 2 wherein you have to wait for other Sims to come to your house, you now have the option to walk to your neighbor’s homes to visit them. The Sims 3 now allows you to visit your friends, explore your neighborhood and meet the neighbors in your locality. The Sims neighborhood is filled with gyms, beaches and parks. You can now do your own grocery shopping by walking or driving to your local grocery shop. You can even enroll your Sims to baking and other classes available! There are so many new and fun features with the latest Sims 3 game.
