Some Basic Garden Design Tips
The field of vegetable garden design is an advanced one indeed, with many different specialties and skills that one can learn. There are so many specific areas that you can get a focus in, but if you are a new gardener, you probably do not want to worry about advanced stuff like that. Instead, you might just want a few basic tips, to ensure that your garden comes out well and is not completely disorganized. If this is what you are seeking, you have come to the right place because I have exactly what you’re looking for.
One thing you have probably heard a lot about is making rows. This is the ideal way to organize your garden, because it allows for irrigation channels. These are troughs about six inches deep and the same size wide that go next to your rows, so that when you need to water your garden, you can just put all the fluid into the channel, instead of going by from plant to plant and watering them individually. In addition, it is must more efficient and better for the plants to be watered from channels than in the manner previously described. The water gets to their roots and surrounds them in just the right proportion for maximum absorption.
You also have to be aware of the soil conditions, as planning for that is as important as doing the irrigation part. This is because if your plants are improperly planted, they will not be able to grow correctly right off the bat. To make sure that your crops are planted correctly, add about a foot of top soil or compost on top of soil that is already there. By doing this, you make sure that the seeds can germinate in a completely clean environment, ensuring their full growth.
